I love that recipe. It is all I really use. It holds up well for me. (I have not tried it outside for many hours) It has a wonderful flavor and I like to add cocoa to make it chocolate bc and also add other flavors.

I would really reccomend it.

I've used the buttercream dream recipe a few times and really love it. It does crust and it has always held up for me just fine. Maybe someone else can help you out a little more, but I would definitely try it. I love it.

Thanks so much! I am going to try it out. It isn't as hot today so I just have to do some decorating!

I use it all the time. It does crust nicely, but it will melt outside. I would put some meriange powder in it to stabilize it.

So would this hold up even when it's not so cool inside? I'm thinking about mid-70s? Also, how much meringue would you add?

Thanks!
