*Insert whiney voice here*

You gu-u-u-u-u-u-y-y-s!!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

I'm driving around in my car today, minding my own business, and on the radio comes this AD for the local bridal festival ON SATURDAY...I have searched locally and somehow missed this altogether as an outlet; I thought they just don't have one here.

I have a display cake in a bridal shop, so I called her to see if she's going . Of course she is. She gave me the # to contact, and I called, but I have two days, and it's the expense of the booth, PLUS making samples to feed "1500, bare minimum 1000", print enough cards, build a brochure, etc., that I can't pull off in two days!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

And it gets worse: The coordinator said there were 1500 through there last year (the big one is in January, and I'm registering for that now, but still--WAH!), and that at this particular show, there are NO VENDORS FOR CAKES registered!!!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_sad.gificon_surprised.gificon_eek.gificon_confused.gif Just a lady selling..PIES?? icon_confused.gif

So pardon me while I scream and throw a hissy fit for a minute. There. I'm better. I'm looking forward to the January "big" show, but this would have been just the outlet I'd need. I mean, NO vendors?? For 1500 people?? 1%#!#%&*&* tapedshut.gif There I go again.

Deep breath. In. Out.

arg! Maybe I can cajole my wedding shop owner to slip some of my business cards out on her table...but...WAH WAH WAH

It's so frustrating when you totally miss something that would have been so great. But remember that everything happens for a reason! I'm sure your January show will be great. But it's ok to wail and gnash away right now!! icon_smile.gificon_smile.gif

Do you think the bridal shop owner would agree to take your display cake and some cards for her table? Maybe you could offer to pay some of the expense for the booth (and bake her something really tasty just for her!!!)

Yeah, I think that's what I'll do. I'm going to offer her some cash if she'd be willing to hand out my cards, and she's welcome to take my cake if she wants. She's a full wedding planner service, so I'm her "cake" lady, so any business she gets will translate to something for me, hopefully. So at least it's good that she's going to be there! I'm going to go walk through it Sat and see what it's like, at least.

I'm already excited for the January one. I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions for that.
