Which is the better tasting? Can you flavor both? Where do you buy Pettnice fondant? Is MMF easy to work with, can you color it if so is it the same way you color regular fondant and is it sweet?

I have not tried Pettnice fondant however I have tried MMF and I love it. It tastes good and is easy to work with.

Pettnice is better quality and easier to color. I love to work w/it and the flavor is OK and it can be flavored. I also like MMF, but I have found it is a little more difficult to knead the color into it. It looks great though and softens easily in the microwave. The price is also right!

Haven't tried the MMF, but the price is, as she said, right.

Petinice, I really liked, and it was nice to work with and tasted pretty good (I don't care for fondant one way or the other), but the cost, whoo-hoo--$56.00 for 15 pounds. ouch.

I haven't tried the MMF, but I have read on several posts to put the color into the melted marshmellows and it will be much easier to get the tint that you want. Just thought I would throw that in there!

I got some pettinice when i went to ICES convention several (4 or 5) years ago. I thought it tasted like soap. I have tried the MMF and used it to make a grooms cake for my son. I did taste it like that but not on the cake. It was good.

Thanks! The tip on adding color during microwave process is a smart idea(duh, if I was a few steps closer to making mmf I probably would have thought about that. Thanks SweetCC for saving me the time and ingredients

The only problem adding the color to the melted marshmallows is if you want more than one color. Then I warm it and knead it in. It still works just nice as easily as melted or other fondants.
