O.K., So I made Choc mmf and it was even easier than regular mmf!! I only added 3 1/2 cups of powdered sugar and it was perfect consistency. I let it sit a few hours and then started to roll it (well hubby did). It was so hard to roll out, even hubby had a tough time with it. We could not get it much thinner than 1/4 inch. I was doing zebra stripes so I wanted it on the thinner side. We just had to go with it because we ran out of time.... Any thought on what I should have done???

Thanks! icon_razz.gif

Which recipe did you use? I used Rhonda's Ultimate Chocolate MMF and didn't have any problems. I was able to roll it out about 1/8" thick. Maybe popping it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it up would have helped.

I used the same recipe and had a similar experience. I popped it into the microwave for a few seconds and it was easier to handle.

Thanks everyone, I used the recipe for Chocolate MMF that is posted in the recipes. I don't know who posted that. Thanks for the tip on the microwave, I will try that with the rest of it. It just would not roll out!

Thanks!

I just made chocolate MMF for the first time and it came out great. I started with the regular MMF recipe, but I replaced some of the powdered sugar with cocoa powder. I didn't add all the powdered sugar, either. I also added some candy clay to mine and I think that really helped keep it from drying out. I added a little bit of glycerin, too, to make it more pliable.
