Thanks for the gum tip !! I'll have to try that. I've stopped baking for a little while 'cause I do not want to gain any more, I ALWAYS have to make sure everything came out fine so I make a 6'' to try ( I mostly bake for family icon_lol.gif ) and of course eat most of it, once I start there is no stopping me. September is a pretty busy birthday month in our family so once again I'll have to sacrifice making sure the cakes came out fine. Will see how many pounds I gain by the end of the month icon_cry.gif .

When I started decorating cakes my mom was just beginning to exercise. She called me to tell me she'd lost 30 lbs. I was less than thrilled to say I'd gained about the same, but I guess we're keeping it in the family that way.

I just love the buttercream icing....and the chocolate cake tops just scream for cream cheese icing.....

ROFL at all the post icon_biggrin.gif the gum is a good thing but when you eat the icing (like me) with the gum in your mouth I guess it doesn't work, LOL icon_wink.gif I haven't gained any weight but haven't lost any either.

I Love Icing, it's my weakness icon_cry.gif when I took the courses my instructor told us "Don't eat the icing while decorating, cuz your gonna get fat" LOL

<-- 15 pounds worth of icing has adhered to my backside since Christmas!

Ugh.. Ok I'm glad I just got back from the gym, it does help me still have a teeny ounce of dignity.

If only I could find a way to safely strap my laptop to my treadmill I would be so skinny because I'm on CC all day. How hard would it be to use a mouse or type while on a treadmill? Hmmmmm! icon_lol.gif

Not to get off topic (but I'm going to anyway) - but I mentioned earlier that I had lost 80 pounds 2 years ago.....I had tried every diet known to man over the years. Sometimes successful and sometimes not. But over the years I have gained and lost 50+ pounds over and over again. Ugh. A few years ago, after being depressed and eating myself to 240 pounds (I am 5'6"), I decided to have weight loss surgery. Didn't want to have the gastric bypass and I had heard about the lap band surgery. Done laprascopically, can be reversed, no cutting of your insides. Anyway, I did it and am very glad that I did. Any of you who are feeling hopeless and "desperate", feel free to PM me with any questions you might have. I'd reccomend it for anyone who has tried everything and can't seem to keep the weight off (or get it off in the first place). Thanks for listening. I'm only mentioning this because I'd love to help anyone who struggles as I have for years with my weight.

Angie, I've done this! LOL. Actually I strapped my laptop to an exercise bike, but it can be done! Call me crazy but it helped the workout go by faster lol.

weight waters works. but you have to get up and move sitting on the couch or where ever will not help you loose weight. I learned that sence i got hurt and cant do anything i went for 165 to 180 just sitting here on this computer and snacking so i have know went to carrotts and lots of slim fast lol next week i get to start walking and doing something.

And yes the cakes and tasting does get you i did it also.

Unfortunately it's been no mystery to me icon_sad.gif I've decided I'm tired of plain ol' chocolate or white cakes and plain ol' buttercream so now I've been trying new combinations and fillings and icings and I must say that I've been enjoying the results a bit too much icon_cry.gif

This can't be good then . . . I gained almost 30 pounds in the last year BEFORE I took up making cakes and cookies! I"M DOOMED!!! I've always been the person that would get razzed by everyone for being too skinny . . . I worked so hard to finally get to a healthy weight that looked good . . . and then BAM! we remodeled the kitchen and all that fast food went straight to my fanny. *SIGH* Now I'm actually at the point where my doctor wants me to lose weight . . . so insulting! I'm gonna go pout and eat a cookie. icon_rolleyes.gif
