I have an order for chocolate cupcakes with a hostess-type cream filling. I saw a few recipes on CC for Twinkie filling...can anyone tell me which is the lightest/best or if there is another recipe that is better? Thanks.

After reading through the threads, the filling from the Giant Ding Dong Cakes seems to be the most popular:

kitagrl I made that cake I loved the cake but the filling just didn't seem the same...I have a different recipe, I will pm you the one I used

I love the giant ding dong cake filling but it does need refridgerating. I use the twinkie like filling from ladycakes site
