Problem With My Royal Icing

Hello,

I never have problem before yesterday with my royal icing!! but i buy meringue powder to barry farm ! so do you think it's not good meringue powder?? i try 3 time and doesn't work icon_eek.gif

Before i make my royal icing with wilton meringue powder and i never have any problem!!

I wash all ! so no grease!

So do you think it's the meringue powder (barry farm)??

I don't know this product, but could it be that it is just dried egg whites with no additives? Wilton Meringue Powder has cream of tarter, corn startch, plus other preservatives/additives. That could be the difference.

what is wrong with the icing- I am betting it is grease, even if you washed everything, I had a terribel time with mine once and I ended up buying a new bag and after that it went ok. I buy meringue pwder in bulk from the bulk store and it is ok

Thanks girls!

The meringue powder have additive ! i's not just egg powder! so maybe it's my bag ! i always wash them with warm water! so i m truying with a new bag, just for royal icing!!

I live in middle Georgia and Royal for me depends on the humidity. Reminds me of my grandmother who wouldn't make divinity in the rain.... Royal icing just won't set up right for me if it's too humid. Good luck in finding your solution.
