I'm making a cake this week in the shape of a crayon. Going to use a long loaf pan - thought about using a waffle ice cream cone for the point of the crayon. Has anyone ever done this or got any better ideas??? Your help and ideas are always appreciated.
Maybe do a jelly roll cake with the ice cream cone for the tip.

The ice cream cones are pretty common- and look pretty cool. Check in the gallery - there are some really groovy crayon cakes in there- a wealth of inspiration is the CC Gallery ![]()
carving a loaf pan doesn't sound too hard to do you thought about trying that yet?
Last year the Wilton yearbook had crayon cakes...they were very cute I remember, but I did not make any...Maybe you could get a peek and some ideas...
