It all depends on how big the cookies are and are you packaging them individually??

The cookies are nearly 3 inches across no fancy packaging just clear quart size bags tied with a curling ribbon tie. icon_smile.gif packaged 12 to bag. I dont know the going rate .

The only input I have is from my SIL. She just bought cookie favors for her wedding. They were simple rounds with rolled buttercream and chocolate monogram piped on top. She bagged them herself and paid $1.25 per cookie. Design, size and your time are all factors. What's the going rate around your area? That's always a good jumping off place.

Well I would charge at least $2.00.The cellophane bags alone are 50 for $1.99 and you have to factor in the cost of the ribbon and the baking ingredients also.Anything less and you will lose money. That would be 50 cents per cookie which alone doesn't cover the butter, sugar etc...I have seen cookies in the store for $6.00 a dozen and I know yours are better!!! I would ask a bit more for homemade...maybe less without packaging, ribbon etc...

Thanks for the help. I do think they are worth at least $7.00 a dozen I know I really am not making any money but this being my first time selling I will chalk this up to experience . I dont know if I could get any more than that here in Tennessee so I am hoping that taste will eventually get me more money in the future. icon_smile.gif
