I am doing a wedding shower cake where the bride wants a 2 tier cake, iced in white BC with chocolate scroll work and accented with chocolate covered strawberrys. Any ideas on design?? I was thinking about doing round cakes with strawberry's around the bottom and 2nd tier, but I am not really sure how to hold them on? or would I put them on once I arrived? Will they stay? Also what would you put on top strawberry's, roses, etc? Thoughts would be great !!!

Thanks so much,

Dar

I would stick with the strawberries for on top. It's very classy looking. I would add the berries once the cake is delivered, or use a dab of icing to "glue" them into place. For a different shape, you could put a round layer on top of a square layer, with the strawberries on the top of the square layer, at the corners. You wouldn't need quite so many berries that way.

I also added toothpicks to the strawberries on bottom, like pinned them into the cake along with the icing....hope this helps...

Keep on baking!!! Don't forget to post cake....woohoo thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif
