I think I read on here the other day that you could paint candy melts on the back of royal decorations as a barrier from the grease of the BC. Now when I search I get 80 million threads on royal. I just wanted to confirm this before I try it. Anyone else do this?

Yes, you can paint melted choc. or candy melts on the back, however with royal icing it's really not necessary at all. I've put royal icing flowers and decorations on a cake that sat for 5 days before being eaten (it was a practice cake) and they never deteriorated. It's color flow that you have to be careful with placing onto buttercream. Your royal decorations should be fine as is.

Thanks for the reply. Normally I would not worry about it but I have been really busy and did not get my morning glorys done until last night for Sat am. I popped them in the food dehydrator and I think they will be fine but I still worry. Dry is dry though right, doesn't matter how it got that way.
