I've been putting pudding mix into my cakes for a while, but I've noticed they don't seem to be baking well. They are almost doughy inside... Why is this happening?!?

I love putting chocolate pudding mix in but I have had to stop now. Any idea?

Are you adding an extra egg? The cake needs more moisture and fat with the added pudding. When I do the pudding method, I do:

1 box cake mix
1 box pudding
4 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1 1/4 cup water

It is never doughy, just moist and delicious! Make sure to bake it until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean or with just a couple of crumbs on it.
