I have a bridal shower cake to do (on 27 July) and the couple has a theme of "Two hearts, one love". Wedding colours are red, white, black, and silver.

Well here's where I'm wanting thoughts...which one would you do (and feel free to give any other ideas)

Option 1 - Bake 2 heart shaped cakes, and then fit them together to look as though they are merged into one...w/ 3 red roses, 3 white roses -both w/ the edible glitter. Frost it in a white buttercream, and then using red as an accent colour, do some hearts that are kind of swirly looking on the sides of the cake.

Option 2 - Bake 2 heart shaped cakes, and then fit them together to look as though they are merged into one...w/ 3 red roses, 3 white roses -both w/ the edible glitter. Frost it in a white buttercream and then using an off white frosting do some words like "Forever, unity, together, love, etc.,"

Option 3 - Bake 2 heart shaped cakes, and then fit them together to look as though they are merged into one...w/ 3 red roses, 3 white roses -both w/ the edible glitter. Frost it in a white buttercream, and then using red as an accent colour, do some swirling scrolls on the side of the cake.

Or if you have any cake ideas, I would love to hear them...I want it to be a nice bridal shower.

I've thought about bringing my chocolate fondue fountain -any ideas of what would be good to dip in chocolate (besides strawberries, marshmellows) that won't leave crumbs behind?

Oh and would royal icing roses be better than buttercream...what is more common?

What a great theme - so many possibilities

before I read the rest of your post I immediately thought of two heart cakes seperated by one column but the column would be covered diagonally with the word Love in chocolate or some other medium.

Can't wait to hear what others say.

All three sound lovely, but I think I like option 3 the best. Personally I do not care for BC roses, so my vote is for chocolate ones.

option 2
word LOVE two letters on each heart (so it takes both hearts to spell it out)

bananas great for dipping
