I have looked at every cake dummy site I could find for a ball shaped cake dummy. I want to enter in my county fair and I want to make my pumpkin with royal icing. I can not find ball shaped anywhere. There is no way I could ever carve a round one into a ball shape...I barely can cut a straight line with a ruler icon_cry.gif Do you think the dark green styrofoam balls you can get at Michaels/JoAnn's for topiary would be ok? Thank you!

That will work. I used a white stryofoam one on one of my cakes that I found at Wal-Mart in the craft section. (It's in my photos if you want to see.) They also have them at Hobby Lobby.

If you ever wanted to bake one, Wilton sells the pan set, so you don't have to carve it. If you wanted a different size, I know Lindy sells them in 3 sizes.

Dallas Foam does custom orders. Maybe try calling to see if they could do it?
