Can someone please advise me on how to make fondant swags or drapes? Any instruction or tips will be greatly appreciated. I have a wedding cake to do and I really love the look. I would like to try it on my practice cake. Thanks everyone.

Hi there, I have just this minute tried my very first swag on a piece of polystyrene. and it's RREEAALLYY easy!!!

ok, Roll out some fondant thinly, cut out a rectangle with a pizza cutter _ gives a nice edge. Lift it carefully to the cake. Slightly pinch one end and place it on top of the cake and with your hands encourage it to fold and pleat and literally just "drape it" down the side and let it gather on the board.

if you enter "swags" and "drapes" into the gallery search and you'll see what i mean

good luck!! thumbs_up.gif
