Does anyone have a recipe for chocolate icing that looks shiny when the cake is done? I have seen many cakes on this site where the chocolate icing looks really glossy and delicious. I would love to have a good dark chocolate frosting or ganache recipe. Thanks.

there's a couple really good recipes on here for ganach that stays pretty shiny. maybe someone can help you better, i think if you refrigerate it, it stays shiny, but i could be wrong. basically, use good chocolate. i usually use ghiardelli. also, any recipe you can substitue if it calls for liquor, just use vanilla or something. or leave it out. if you like a sweeter ganach, i've added a little sugar to the mix.
