Hi All, I have made Marthas IMBC and I was set on trying DeDe Wilson's recipe.. I got bent on making a choc cake with mocha IMBC (LAWD HAVE MERCY) but what do I need to add LOL please don't say espresso powder becasue i don't have any lOL. i have instant coffee. I have coffee maker coffee and I will have some hot brewed coffee
Don't know if you've figured this out already - i would say some cocoa powder mixed w/ brewed coffee... I haven't tried to do this, but that's what I would suggest.... in the icing recipes I've tried to make chocolate I've seen a lot of suggestions to put the coffee in there anyway.... OR maybe you could go buy some mocha powder.... hmmm I'm not quite sure where you'd get that - maybe Starbucks has some in little "salt shaker" things you could buy - I think they did at one time...... or maybe some gourmet food store or liquor store that carries gourmet products.... maybe you could find some there.
