Non-Refrigerated Homemade Mousse-Type Filling? Possible?

Is there anything comparable to a mousse-type filling that doesn't need to be refrigerated. I would like to make something myself because I don't have a store readily available that sells the filling in a sleeve. I was thinking about trying the twinkie-type filling with some flavorings or juices added? Is there anything else I can try?

The only non-refrigerated mousse type filling would be one made with either Rich's Bettercreme or Pastry Pride.
