I have a request to make a beer bottle cake. This person wants the cake to "stand up" meaning that it should actually look like a beer bottle sitting on a table. I have NO CLUE where to begin. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Is there is a cake pan available that would be shaped in a bottle form?

I'd start with stacked rounds. Then for the narrowing neck, either carve the cakes icon_eek.gif or use rice krispy treats. Then cover the whole bugger in fondant and paint.

I hope that helps. I'm sure someone with more experience would have more....
