I just got me a mini wonder pan finally. Now I would love to know everyone's ideas for different cakes that can be made with this pan. I think it would be neat to hear how everyone uses this pan for making cakes.
OMG I LOVE MY MINI WONDERMOLD PAN!!! i've used it to make ski hats & santa hats for christimas. this halloween i plan to make ghosts. i have a lady who is looking for a pac man cake so i'm gonna do a 10 or 12" circle and use the mini wonder mold to make the ghosts. you could also use it to make christmas trees come to think of it. i swear it's one of the most verstile pans! ![]()
btw forgot to mention that i have a pic of the santa hat's in my photos...i was stupid and didn't take one of the ski hats (boo me). hth.
pm me if you need anything!
i did mini pineapples for a sponge bob party for my kids once.
Volcanos, mini dinosaurs, three little pigs and wolf (goes with the straw house made with the big one from the '79 yearbook), stack of straw.
This year in the yearbook they made a cheese ball and molded it in the mini wondermold and then covered it in star tip stripes with a pretzel rod as the handle (this is going to be my snack while I'm reading the new Harry Potter book). ![]()
You can also make flower pots and mugs if you turn them upside down.
Of course you can use it to make mini-versions of the doll cake, hula skirts, mini monsters, two together on it's side make great 3-d footballs, hats by themselves or for a 3-d figure, I also use these for my cookie pops. I decorate them in whatever theme I need them for and then stick the cookie in the center as a stand for the cookie.
The list goes on and on. Can't wait to hear everyone else's ideas. ![]()
I put 2 together and trimmed off the bottom and made Easter eggs for my dks
I just made maracas this weekend for a fiesta cake. They were a pain to do, but it worked very well! I painted in several layers of melted white chocolate, put the cake back in the shell that were baked in the pan, topped with chocolate, and put them back in the freezer. Attached the two halves with more chocolate and suck fondant covered pretzel rods in one end that I had drilled a hole in with a small knife.
made some cute little tea pots for a bake sale (in my pictures) and they never made it to the table....sold them before the ladies could even get a price sticker on them. ![]()
I think they would make a cut sitting cat or penguin.
