I asked awhile back about suggestions for a dandelion cake for my dad... well, this is what I came up with...
He loved it which is what matters, but I definately could have done better if I was in my own kitchen and had all of my stuff! I'm sure you all can relate...
My step mom asked me what i would have charged for something like this and I told her at least $120-150 (served around 70 party servings) and she about choked! She was like, "OOHH My--I couldn't see paying that much for a cake...maybe like 70 or something"...blah, blah, blah--whatever right... and then people start showing up and I could overhear her over by the cake telling her mom and sister (my step grandma and aunt) that I would have charged 150.00 and how outrageous that was and they both piped up saying how that was was reasonable and I could totally get that for what I did... I just pretended I didn't hear them and walked away smiling... serves her right--she's always been like that, tries to ruin something just because it doesn't revolve around her... anwyay--slight vent here...

I feel at least 120.00 would have been a deal... that's less than 2.00 a serving!! Buttercream plus fondant work and royal icing dandelions! 70 bucks my *&^%! OK, I'm done... ... really...
