After looking at all of the wonderful Buckeye cakes, I am going to try to make one for my Dad's 70th birthday-I am going to use the Block "O" for the 0.

When I have tried to make red icing before with BC and Wilton no taste red, it comes out a dark pink. Any suggestions for getting true red?

Thanks.

The best way to get a red is to use the red food coloring till it is a dark pink then let it sit over night. It will darken in to a nice red.
Americolor is nice but you can use wilton if you don't have any Americolor.
