Recipes Or Ideas For Citrus Pound Cake With With Lemon Curd
Decorating By LauraS Updated 15 Jul 2007 , 3:37pm by LauraS
HI , I am super excited, some one whom I have been working with ( A new fantastic Flower Shop owner) , called me last night, begging me, she is getting married on Sunday (she is marrying my Wine Distributor º ) I need to make a Citrus Pound cake laced with Lemocellio with Lemon Curd mascarpone cheese frosting. She is going to decorate the cake with fresh flowers. (I get to help with the decorating , I am excited, lol) This is going to be a ball room at a hotel from the 1800¡¦s that was just renovated to its original glory and it is going to be possible in the news paper. I am hoping that someone might have some suggestions on the recipes, I did a search on- line and in my cookbooks, I came up with one recipe for the frosting and I think I have a fairly decent recipe for pound cake and was going to add Lemon, Orange and Lime zest. Can anyone help me, have you tried this before?
I thank everyone is advance for their assistance and ideas.
Wow that is exciting..I'm no help though.. but Good Luck
I posted a very sopur lemon cake - but you could cut some of the sourness. It uses lemon snowcone mix. Its just a doctored yellow cake but it is very dense like a pound cake. It's listed in the recipe section as "Jenny's Pucker-Up Lemon Cake"
Hope this helps!
I would suggest looking on allrecipes dot com, very comprehensive site with user reviews and ratings. Also, on foodnetwork dot come giada has a recipe for mascarpone cream cheese frosting that I have used before and it was very good. it has honey in it so I don't know how that would work with lemon? but I'm sure it's totally adaptable.
