I was asked today to make a cake with the Doodlebops (not characters that I am too familiar with-my girls are too old for them) on it. I found one cake in the gallery but it was an edible image. Has anyone else done one out there using a FBCT???? I have searched the web and haven't found a good picture to use. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm not sure how to pull this one off. Thanks so much in advance.

They are freaky! Kinda scared me, but if you insist on doing a FBCT, then go to the Disney website, under this address:

There were some cartoon images of them you could maybe print out and use to do your FBCT.

Good luck!

My daughter like the doodlebops too! Fun to dance to and stuff. Anyway they have a Bus on the show - and sing a song about getting on the bus. You can find the song on the website that debbie listed above. You maybe could use that in some way... or you might use just all different color musical notes, swirls and flowers - they seem to have a bit of a tie-dye feel to them....but wow I agree it is a tough one. I will keep thinking!

The Doodlebops are way cool in my family -- my grand-nieces and nephews always watch them with me when I babysit, and we sing and dance to all their songs.

I agree that they are very 60's psychedelic retro, and I would just love to see the bus recreated into a cake, especially in 3-D. Americolor Electric colors would absolutely do the trick there.

Thanks, it's a start. I'll have to research this one a little bit more. I agree that they are a little scary and that a BCT might be tough. I'll have to atalk with the mom about the bus idea- that might be much more doable. Thanks so much for the help- I love this sight and all of you talented people out there!!!! Must admit this one scares me a little. icon_eek.gif

Yeah, that's a tough one. Plus, there's not much available in toys yet even if you just wanted to put figures on.

Is it just a sheet cake? I think your best bet for a clean FBCT would be the logo itself. Or, if you were doing something stacked, maybe a small 3-tier where each tier was decorated in a different Doodle's colors with music notes, etc.?

Good luck, I can't wait to see what you come up with - my 2 yr old is a big fan and I probably couldn't touch this one! icon_smile.gif

OK, all you Canadians! I know that the Doodlebops are from up there, so maybe someone there can point this member in a direction where they can get some Doodlebops action figures or something. Or at least a coloring book that they can do a transfer from!

I had to do one for my nephew. I ended up having an edible image made from a pic because I coudn't find anything else either. I'm pretty new with all this so I wasn't about to try a BCT with all that detail and color! And the color combo is aweful to work with! I used the image on an all white iced and bordered cake, then used the colors to write the message, different color for each letter in kid style print, then also alternated teh colors to make confetti and streamer-thingies along the border. That made the cake colorful enough without a solid color cake or border, since the colors go so horrible together.

Thanks you to everyone for your help with this one. After spending a lot of time this weekend researching and trying to come up with design ideas to present to the customer, I called her and guess what???? She discovered that there is very little available out there to plan her party (ie favors, plates, etc. ) and thinks that she is going to change the theme to Blues Clues! Yikes!!!

Now that I have found coloring pages, I almost want to do a Doodlebop character just for the challenge I think that it will be.

Thanks agaain to all for your wonderful support and ideas!!
