one option -- triangles of the three colors that start at top of each square on side and come to point in middle of the cake.

Could you just repeat the pattern on top & add a big loop bow? Is it for a female or male?

I just wanted to say that I've felt that way about so many cakes. Having said that, your cake is so pretty, I love the colors. I agree with another post about repeating the pattern on the top. Or you could just add a bow in blue with green dots, or the other way around, just so you keep the colors you used on the sides on top as well.

Please post the finished cake!!

I'm wondering if the pattern continued on top would make it too busy? How about just a huge fondant bow on top?

I think a big loop bow of the same colors would do the trick. I would suggest a small shell border around the top edge to give it a finished look.

How about the top be one colour (like green) then a bow with all the colours?

Definitely OTNIC's suggestion!! The cake is gorgeous, but any more patterning will be too busy - the coloured bow will bring it all together. icon_biggrin.gif

It's a very nice cake, it does need something else though, like you said. What occassion is it for? I like otnics suggestion.

Can't wait to see the final pic.

Looks great so far. Just another idea - some candles or stars like these - in your colour scheme of course... pics with compliments of CC ...

You're probably done by now, but the first thing I thought when I saw it was that it would look great with some daisies. just some simple ones maybe with matching centers? or a few blue and green leaves? I really thing something simple on top. it looks great btw.
