If you mean tilapia, I like steaming them with ginger, scallions, cilantro and sesame oil. Very yummy.

I bread mine in italian bread crumbs and cook them quickly in a hot skillet with a little olive oil sometimes. Or marinate them, or steam them like suggested above.

My 14-yr old is on a "let's eat healthy" kick and is cooking every night with recipes she is finding in my magazines. (She made a weekly menu and a shopping list and made her dad take her to the grocery to get what she needed!)

She made a Tilapia dish a couple of days ago......It was delicious! It's actually going to make it onto the Cater It Simple menu!!

SPrinkle 4 fillets with salt/pepper.
Microwave for 3-4 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine:
- 3 Tbs melted butter
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup minced fresh parsley
Pour butter mixture over fish.
SPrinkle with 1/4 cup crushed Ritz or Townhouse cracker crumbs.
Microwave uncovered for 3-4 minutes until fish flakes easily.

The parsley kind of "gloops" together when mixed with the butter and lemon juice. I suggested to her that next time, the parsley just be sprinkled over the fish after pouring the liquid on.

Tilapia makes very good fish tacos. Season the fish with a little chili powder, steam and then cut into cubes. Add to taco shells with chopped onion, coriander, tomatoe, and lettuce. Salsa if you like.

the fish tacos sound great, I will have to try that. The one time I did cook tilapia I found a recipe on allrecipes dot com that called broiled tilapia parmesan, it's rated 5 stars with 2152 reviews...and it was good!

I usually dip the pieces in some scrambled up egg, then into cornstarch and parmesan mixed together with any generic fish seasoning mix, and fry it over the stove in a small amount of olive oil. mmmmm

slather with mayo mixed with a little parmesan....coat with breadcrumbs....bake medium heat for 20-30 minutes (or add some veg. oil to a pan and brown on both sides)

this works with chicken too....it's sooooo yummy and quick!

I loooove tilapia, I am however a health nut when it comes to anything but cake icon_lol.gif So I always bake or grill.

for asian flavor I marinate in a mixuture of soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, tiny bit of sugar & some ginger. Serve over brown rice w/ steamed veggies.

tilapia is VERY versatile, and you can pretty much just go with flavors you like and they'll work.
