I am piecing together chunks of cake (so I don't have to make another cake) to form the top of a deer's head. I am afraid that buttercream is going to melt in this humid weather. What else can I make to 'glue' the pieces of cakes together? thanks

Doug you are a genius. I never thought of chocolate. I did think of royal icing though. I did the chocolate and it worked like a charm. The whole head is now in the freezer waiting for Friday to be decorated. Thanks so much.
