I have an order for a boulder cake. Yes I big rock icon_smile.gif
Any ideas out there?
I am thinking carve a cake and then cover in Fondant...

well...depending upon shape desired.

could through sports ball or the 1/2 soccer ball or football pan, as well as the wondermold (full size and mini) into the mix.

If you use fondant, don't over smooth it, most rocks have quite a texture to them (unless many years of water running over them has smoothed them). Also play with streaking subtle shades of colors into it for more depth and character. (My husband once had to make boulder props out of styrofoam, and when he was done painting them - they looked so real!)
