We have been on our feet for about three hours tonight just hanging out in the kitchen and making MMF and BC icing, baking the cake and decorating her two cakes she baked. I treasure that time that I spend with her.
My daughter (age 13) never does the typical cute cake that children like to do. She has some strange images that come into her head and she plays them out in her cake decorating. She needs alot more experience but I think that she really has talent when it comes to this. Maybe the more she works with it the better she will get.
Anyway here is picture of her cake she did tonight. It is called a "desert sunflower" and she mixed MMF in different colors to get the marble effect. Made her own BC icing and colored it with red/orange and hint of yellow.
The photos are not the best because this is a crappy little cheap camera.

Great job! I know what you mean about treasuring those moments. I did not have daughters but just spent the last 4 days with my 12 year old granddaughter and we baked and iced and had the best time. Hang on to those times!
