What is High ratio shortening? I have a recipe that calls for High ration shortening. What on earth?

It is absolutely the best and really does make a big difference on how your icing acts, feels and especially tastes!

Can you decorate with it or just frost?

Both. I use the Wilton BC recipe and just substitute the shortening with the hi-ratio shortening. Ice and decorate. thumbs_up.gif So just use whatever recipe that you have that call for shortening and replace with the hi-ratio and do as you normally would. HTH
