OK, so help me get a clear picture here, if I have a double layer 8 inch (or any size for that matter) cake - meaning I baked 2 cakes - do I just stack them together and put the icing (or whatever filling) in the middle of the two having one layer of filling
OR
Do I split each cake individually, fill each one and also fill in between the two cakes when I stack them??? Leaving 3 layers of filling....
OR - is this just preferance?? I've only been putting filling in between the two cakes and haven't had any complaints at all, but I'm wondering if I'm shorting my customres, lol!!!
Ha....isn't it funny, I've been doing this a year and I'm just figuring this out now, lol! ![]()
It's really a matter of preference........I bake two cakes, and then do one filling between them, many others torte each layer and have three layers of filling and 4 layers of cake........it's all in what you are comfortable doing.......I am too much of a slob to try and torte each layer! ![]()
it is totally a matter of preference. I normally only put the filling in between the 2 cakes, but on special occasions i will torte it and fill.
have a good day!

haaa, too much of a slob! That's SO ME! Anyway, I like the idea that the 2 inch, do one layer of filling - but 3 inch use two layers.
Good, I'm glad there are others out there like me. I'm just making sure I have the right ratio of filling to cake, lol!! Although, you can mush it all up in a bowl and I'd still eat it ![]()
