I need to make decorated cookies for a wedding, 2 weeks away. I would like to start now and freeze them ~ can I do this?
My cookies are NFSC with MMF icing. That's really the only decoration I have. Will these freeze properly? If not, how far in advance can I make these so that they are still fresh for the wedding?
TIA!!!

I have not frozen NFSC with MMF but I have done it with RI and everything worked out just fine. No color bleeding or anything (I know that is a concern with darker colors). I don't see why you couldn't do it. Just make sure the MMF is set and dry on the cookies, wrap them really well and freeze. When you take them out to thaw, do it at least 24 hours in advance and DO NOT OPEN THE CONTAINER/BAG. Let the cookies and container/bag come up to room temp before you do that. You don't want any condensation to form on your cookies.
HTH and good luck! Post pics when your cookies are done.
yes! does anyone know if you can freeze nfsc with mmf frosting? and if so which is the best way to do it and defrost them?
I have made nfsc with mmf and just kept them in an airtight container and they were fine. No problems--still very fresh tasting. Also, I made the trees and I had 2 people who would not eat them b/c they thought they were too pretty for over a month and they were STILL good believe it or not.
I am doing nfsc for next week with just royal and I hope they are fine w/o freezing.
