Have any of you used Pastry Pride instead of BC for crum coating before fondant?

I havent ever done it and I woudl thin that it would be a nono since pastry pride is so soft like whipped cream... but since I have never done it heres a

I was told that you should not use Pastry Pride or Rich's Bettercream as the crumb coat for fondant because the moisture can melt your fondant! You can use it as the filling for your cake, but would need to use a strong buttercream icing dam between layers and crumb coat in buttercream.

I don't recommend putting pastry cream on top of fondant or buttercream. It melts everything in a big hurry. Pastry cream by itself is very nice, but has to be kept in the fridge. It's best for cakes served right away.
