I am make a tractor with the wilton cake pan. I made the cake and it came out perfect yeah! But now I am confused as to how to decorate it. Do I first ice it and then use the star tips or just the star tips? Also have any of you ever cut one in half so it is a layer cake? I was going to make 2 but it will be too deep then. I was thinking about just using my leveler and cut it in half so I will have a two layer cake. What do you think?
Thanks a bunch
Judy

Hi Judy.... you can torte your cake, just be careful when you do it. It really is no different from torting a regular cake. As to the icing, just ice where the instructions tell you to ice. The rest you fill in with stars, making sure there is no space between the stars so the cake doesn't show through.
