Of course it is a dummie cake. icon_razz.gif
I have to make a 9-11 layer, 5-6 foot wedding cake, with styrofoam cake dummies.
I am wondering if anyone has ever tried to spray paint or paint fondant.
I really don't feel like trying to colour all that fondant, plus the chance of getting all if it to match, i think, will be difficult.
I know I can airbrush, but there is no one around here that carries the food colouring.
Any other ideas CC members?
Thanks,
Laurie

I'd definitely go w/ airbrushing. Do you have time order the colors online?

probably not. The cake is due this weekend. I would still have to find the right colour. She wants a dark ivory.

If it's a dummy, why not make MMF, then you just add the coloring with the melted marshmallows. Easy.

I think that painting it will make the color spotty.

You can paint with oyster luster dust and vodka/extract to get ivory: http://www.paylesscakedecor.com/lusterdust3-oyster-lg.htm
