I would like to set up a web page but I'm in Michigan where the home baking laws are quite confusing. Would any one advise as to whether I should do a web page or not ? icon_confused.gif TIA

i don't see anything wrong with having a website with pics of your cakes on it - kind of like an online photo album. as long as you don't list a business name and prices (etc..) IMO, you should be ok.

just my 2 cents!

That's exactly what I was thinking, but didn't want to get in hot water--you never know who's lurking where.
Does anybody from Michigan have sites?

I'm not in MI, but the MD laws are pretty harsh, too, it seems, though it varies by county. Anyway, if you go to my site, it's just a gallery of my photos, as Erica suggested above. It doesn't say anything about cakes being bought or sold. I also have calling cards which simply list the name of my "company" and my website.

Karen---
Love your site ! It's exactly what I had in mind--a gallery of my photos with NO mention of cost, but a way for people to contact me/ view my work-Thanks for your help
