How To Make Bc Spice Color And Plum Color (Color Chart?)

I have a shower cake to make and the Bride requested it be decorated in the colors she is using in the wedding. They are a spice color which is an orange/brown color and a very dark deep plum color. Does anyone know where there is a color chart that tells me how to combine colors to get certain colors?
Hi, If you search for color wheel on Google you will get many sites showing the colours and how to mix them, some are interactive.
Sometimes it is very difficult to get the exact shade you want when you are using food colours and also from different manufacturerers. I bought Sugar florist paste recently from Squires Kitchen and it is Bordeaux and is a deep purple colour. According to the colour chart I should have got it if I mixed red and blue but I did not get it that deep. An after thought tells me that if I added a drop of black I may have got the deep purple but it is to be tested.
If you want large quantities of coloured sugar paste it is economical in the long run and time saving to buy it. Then you get a uniform colour, whereas when mixing yourself it may not be that perfect when blending large quantities.
I've made plum with BARNEY food color paste.
