No, there used to be a old family business that had a store for years, but I guess maybe age, illness and disinterest closed it a couple of years ago. My friend in Modesto took me to a neat store there. They had alot of things I hadn't seen before. I like the way you put it - - you want to put your hands on the stuff. I've bought stuff on the internet, but the waiting, the shipping costs . . . . all that stuff! If you had a long list of things, it might be worth it just for the adventure to try that one. It's called Edwards on Bangs Ave in Modesto.

I ALWAYS have a long list of things. It's like an addiction (ok, it is an addiction) I keep buying all this cake stuff because I see it or what it does on someone else's cake and I want to try it. Now I just have to figure out how to use it all.. icon_redface.gif I just might go check it out. Thanks for the tip!

Hey, I will also be entering the Kern County Fair. Can't wait to see your cake. I agree with you about the prize. They have other baked catagories that are paying $150 -$250 for first that take less time and are way easier to make. Don't understand it but I am just doing it for fun and practice. icon_smile.gif Good luck! thumbs_up.gif
