I am making 300+ roses - the wilton way with the cutter and thinning the edges and molding the petals. Only one layer of petals due to the 300+ what do I charge?

I checked some sites on line about prizes on cakes and decoration. This could be helpful. Between $ 3.00 and $ 6.00 per serving.
" Prices listed include Flowers and a Message or elaborate frame border.
Artwork is $ 15.00 per hour."

icon_redface.gif I understand about the flowers. I thought the charge per hour could be helpful. Good luck.

Hi,

http://www.cakedecors.com/category.aspx?categoryID=9

A bride is willing to pay the price for products of good quality since this is once in a life time event.

You may find sites like this selling roses and may charge accordingly, taking consideration for discounts on bulk orders. A discount is a word that makes a buyer very happy, and if you sell four roses in a pack for five dollars and give a 1% discount for every hundred in one order the bride gets 3% discount and you still get a resonable sum for your time consumed and to cover the materials cost.

Would you please let me know the Wilton way of making gum roses - how is molding done? I live in Europe and we do not get any Wilton stuff over here, and I use the method described in www.odence.com how to make roses out of marzipan.

Have fun while molding them. Niki

Interesting link, thanks. Their Roses are pretty, but whomever makes the Orchids and Gladiolus have no idea what the real deal looks like, lol.

I love surfing links like this. Different views are always interesting! icon_smile.gif
