Have you ever volunteered for things and they all end up on the same day??? Well, I did. I volunteered for a baby shower cake at work "in a few weeks", told my sis I would make baby's first bday cake, and signed up for Wilton Course II. Guess what? They let me know the dates and they were both for the 9th. Well, my final cake for class is the 9th. How do you do this and work full time. BTW not getting paid for these...courtesy cakes. (not good enough to charge, yet) icon_cry.gif

Luckily, I'm off on Monday and can start baking!!!

Is there any way to do a "make up" class through the place you are taking your classes from? I know when I took mine, they were very accomodating and some girls just came in on a different night when they missed.

Good luck!!!

pick one night to do all your baking, then freeze it. then do your frosting another evening after work. don't worry so much about the class cake. it will be fine. i would look at it as only 2 need to look good- the class cake can take a backseat. if one is due in the am, decorate it the night before and if you have time, save the next one for doing the day of if it's later in the afternoon.

I know the way you feel.
I have six party cakes for saturday!!! and I thought everything was OK, I had everything planned and started making a lot of things ahead of time. I prepared all my boards, did all the flowers, chocolate shells, etc.
I planned to get up really early on friday (like around 6am) and start baking (I don't like freezing my cakes)... but guess what?
A couple of days ago I received a notification for an important appointment in Norfolk friday at 11:00 am. It is a legal stuff the I can't change. I live in Richmond, Norfolk is about 2 hours from here. So basically I lost all friday morning.
I guess I won't be having any sleep at all friday night!

You can do it!!!!! icon_cry.gif Wish me luck!
