You could check the Wilton site for directions, there are also directions here at CC. Look in the how to section.

Welcome to Cake Central(CC). You will soon be addicted & no there's no 12 step program hehe.
As far as fondant..... I compare it to play-doh. If you have a Michael's or a craft store that has Wilton classes you can learn a lot there. The one near me as a gumpaste/fondant class soon. Look around this site under recipes, articles, forums. I'm sure you'll find something to help you. You can always go to wilton's site. I think www.satinice.com as a small lesson on it. Good Luck. thumbs_up.gif

Wilton's Fondant is an excellent way to learn, its great for beginners and cheap. You get to learn how fondant "should" feel before you go off and make your own or use other brands. However, its tastes NASTY. But for experience and with that 40% off...
FondX is tasty and flavor-wise my fav, but can be too soft for some people. Satin Ice is most popular and tasty, and widely available and can be bought precolored, too. Pettinice is about the same, I believe, but harder to find. Marshmallow Fondant (MMF) is the cheapest and quite tasty. There are many different recipes. I use this recipe and tutorial, as it was given to me as "easiest for beginners" - http://whatscookingamerica.net/PegW/Fondant.htm
And of course other brands, too.

There is also Rolled Buttercream, Poured Fondant (usually for petite fours), Modeling Chocolate, and faux fondant (crusting buttercream) that you can use.
