I'm wondering how many of you have such beautifully even piping on the sides of cakes when you have these scroll designs that go all the way around the cake. Are you guys using a press or something that puts the design on the cake and the piping over top of it??

I'd love to be so consistent but it seems that I'm just not getting it!

Yep, a press! Wilton makes them.

I like to do my scrollwork free hand....what i do is draw up some designs on a piece of paper, just to get some ideas and then just pipe what i drew on the paper onto the cake....
