How long can a cake filled with ganache sit out? I'm doing a chocolate cake with ganache filling, and a white one with I don't know what kind of filling. I can't decide. I thought a white chocolate mousse filling sounded good, but I can't find any good recipes. Suggestions?

ganche can sit out a couple of days at room temp (sugar and fat acts as a preservative) a mousse filling though would have to be in fridge. You could though make a white chocolate ganache and then whip it, that might make a mousse like consistency, then you could leave that one out too.

Milk chocolate ganache is my most popular filling for my sheet cakes. My cakes, once they have been filled, have sat out for a little over 24 hours before consumption and I guess it's okay because I keep getting requests for that filling.
