Ok yall know when ya go to the store they sell brownies that are frosted... what kind of frosting do you think they use?? I know it's not butter cream or anything like that and I'm thinking maybe it's canned frosting... do you think that would work? I'm not real impressed with canned icing but I do have a ton of it lmao. My dad was trying to be nice when it was 20 for $10.~ one time and bought me a crap load of canned frosting lmao so I have tons! And this is for family snacks only not for customers lol....

What would you suggest I use????

I keep some canned choc fudge on hand because when I'm PMS-ing, I eat it with a spoon!

Double fudge brownies with fudge icing ..... Mmmmmmm! Looking forward to the next bout of PMS now!!

not exactly frosting -- but melted choco chips!

and...
hhhmmmm -- wonder -- what would happen if....

knowing you can melt canned frosting in micro...and knowing can also melt choco chips in micro....

wonder what would happen if you combined the two?

wanna experiment and give use the results?

Well I'm on the phone with my BF (bestest friend in the whole wide world lol) and I'm reading her Doug's post and she's just laughing at the tone in my voice as the enthusiasim gets higher and higher lol And I'm sure that's exactly how Doug would've said it lmao....

Anyway I said but I only have white chocolate choco chips but wait... oh man I bet that would taste delicious! Damn I bet it woulda tasted even better with the white choc chips mixed IN the brownies.... man let me run out here before they start really baking lol... too late they are already really baking lmao... so I'll experiement with both the icing and the white choco chips and let ya know... she said it sounds delicious and only eats white chocolate... so I'm sure it'll be delicious but I'll let ya know!

Thanks for the idea Doug!!!

Ok here's what I did.... I went to find the icing and can't find the darn chocolate... all I could find was this whipped butter cream canned kind but I found Baker's Milk Chocolate Dipping Sauce... so I melted that up (just like candy melts) sprinkled white chocolate chips on top the brownies, poured the melted dipping chocolate on top and spread it around as I did it warmed and melted the choco chips and looked good.... I cut them and popped one in a bowl, and heated it up a little (I like my brownies warm lol) and here let me taste it....

OMG They are delicious!!!!!!! to die for!!! Go to the store and get some Baker's brand dipping chocolate it's in a little covered bowl lol it's yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it doesn't dry hard unless you pop it in the fridge/freezer icon_wink.gif

lmfao sorry ladies and gents icon_wink.gif But I HAD to make them... I had two rolls of that refrigerated brownie stuff they just came out with and had to try it before they went bad lol... they are worth it if you're in a pinch for time icon_wink.gif but nothing beats real boxed brownies lol (I've never made home made so I'm sure they beat boxed lol)

You should try them from scratch. My, then 11year old, daughter was begging for brownies to make. I said yes before she found out that we were out of the box mix. I pulled out the trusty old secrect family recipe book from my dear old "Aunt Betty". I found the page for brownies and had her read the book. She made her first batch of scratch brownies (as easy as box mix). She now makes brownies when ever there is a neighborhood gathering. (all of my cakes are box mixes, but brownies, mmmmmmmmmmm). I may have her make some tonight after hearing all of this brownie talk.

Actually, I've made both the homemade and boxed brownies and I really prefer the boxed mix. I just can't get the homemade recipes to be "fudgy" enough for me. So I just make boxed brownies. I still get compliments on them so I'm not going to change!

But I am going to try the baker's chocolate and white chocolate chips next time I want brownies. Sounds delish!

Even when I buy the box of Fudge Brownies they are never fudgy enough for me lol I normally mix in some chocolate chips into the batter before baking and that makes them a little more fudgy I also cut back on the water just a touch and add some chocolate syrup icon_wink.gif

I gotta say if you try the baker's chocolate.... make sure you get the little tub of Dipping Chocolate and not the squares... I don't know if the squares would work right for this.... But the little tubs of Baker's Dipping Chocolate is right there with the bars icon_wink.gif and really isn't that much more expensive... and they are identical to candy melts just taste a heck of a lot better and it doesn't re-harden once melted unless you refrigerate icon_wink.gif
