Callilng all chocolate experts out there...
This is my first time working with chocolate. I made some white chocolate sea shells yesterday.Used wilton's candy melts. Put candy melts in bottle and melted them in the microwave, I filled my molds. (they were clean and dry).
Let them rest for 24 hours. Today I took them out and grrrrr! ![]()
In some parts of the mold, the chocolate was sticking and they didn't come out looking good! They were still in one piece but the surface was not completely smooth and shinny.
Can someone give me some tips???????
You might have let them sit in the mold too long. I put them in the freezer for 10 minutes and they pop right out with no problem. I just made the seashells this past weekend. It also depends on the humidity in your area. Next time, try the freezer, let them sit on wax paper for about 30 minutes and then store in an airtight rubbermaid container with waxed paper between each layer.
I'll give you a BUMP as I would like to know too!! I haven't made any yet but have the molds and would like to try some myself so I will take any tips anyone has to offer!!

Once they are filled tap them several times to get rid of air bubbles and then stick them in the freezer for a few minutes. Once they've set and are a little cold they'll come right out, the mold will be kind of frosted. Being cold helps them release. If I understood you correctly the candy was at room temp when you tried to get it out.
I put mine in the fridge and they popped right out. Also be sure not to handle them too much because they can melt with the warmth of your hands. good luck!
also polish the mould with kitchen paper or cotton wool before using. It does help with appearance
