the bed itself or the ahole cake, you cane make a bed out of a regular sheet cake, cut into the shape of the bed

Do you have access to a Debbie Brown book? She has examples in a couple of her books. If not I think you would probably make the headboard and footboard out of gumpaste, and maybe fondant bedspread?? There are a lot of bed pics in the gallery. Maybe you could find acouple of them you like and pm the people who made them. Good LUck!!

are you going to put a doll on top or a fondant figure.

could start w/ a 9x13 sheet.

cut in half....

cut 9x6.5 for a bed that looks like a full or queen
cut 13x4.5 for a bed that looks like a twin (and would hold a barbie doll)

then add headboard/footboard out of fondant or gumpaste.

ice cake
drape in fondant such that fondant looks like bedspread.
(could even tuck doll in)

could attach to back of headboard -- wires w/ little clouds attached -- the clouds could be little images of what she is dreaming about (crown, money, prince)

and 3 pages of inspiration from the galleries:

I just did a slumber party cake (it's in my pics). I just did a 9x9 cake and made it look like a bed (but you could also cut that in half to look like a single bed). I didn't do a headboard or anything, but it still looks like a bed. I used my big icing tip to do the 'dust ruffle' and then made the bedspread out of fondant.
