My daughters birthday is coming up and she wants a strawberry shortcake birthday. I thought it would be cute if i made her a 3D shaped strawberry cake. Does anyone know if this is possible? If it is how do I make it? icon_smile.gif

Ok, mind you, I haven't tried this. My daughter also loves Strawberry Shortcake and I was thinking about this the other day. I thought that I might try using the Wonder Mold pan, upside down, with half of the sportsball pan on top. I was thinking that with a very firm cake and a dowel through the center, it just might stand up. Now to figure out how to decorate it. icon_wink.gif

I haven't done a 3-d strawberry but a heart shaped pan makes cute strawberries. So maybe there is a 3-d heart shaped pan out there somewhere.

This is what I did for my granddaughter's brithday: I baked a heart-shaped cake, carved it around to make it nice and round, covered with red-colored sugar paste and added yellow dots and smile and eyes. The idea came from a book I just purchased.[/img]
