I was looking through the galleries and I came across a description that said the cake was iced in marshmallow buttercream. What is that? Can anyone tell me the difference between this and mmf? I couldn't find the picture later to ask the maker directly.

I guess I'll look through the galleries again! If I find it and get an answer I post it.

If its the snickers cake it was me. I got the recipe from here. marshmallow creme buttercream.

1lb (4sticks) of unsalted butter, softened

2 jars or tubs (7 or 7 1/2 oz each) or 1 large tub (16 oz) marshmallow cream (such as Marshmallow Fluff or Creme)

2 cups confectioners' sugar

2 tsp vanilla (I had to reduce to 1 tsp b/c the vanilla flavor was overpowering w/ 2 tsp) you could also sub another flavoring for the other tsp

The butter is the difference. This is the same consistency as butercream. I made the mmf and wasn't sure about it. Initially it was too airy for me, so I used 2 lbs of sugar (instead of 6 cups)

yep! I added a little melted chocolate to it for the decorations. I was albe to do the border and flowers. It just kept getting better icon_smile.gif I drizzled melted chocolate chips and caramel on the square cake. The square cake recipe I used is in the recipe tips forum ~ delicious chocolate cake. It was a combo of two recipes and was perfect for the candy cake.
Have fun!

i didn't use the snickers cake recipe because I couldn't find it. The other one I saw said they just made the chocolate box mix. This other cake was so much better than the reg box mix. I'm resisting the urge to make this again icon_razz.gif Don't forget to tell me how you like it.

A whole pound of butter? That sounds (deliciously) fattening! (I printed it out anyhow ... just in case.)
