I think it's really cute! The picture looks like it came out a little yellow, if only the lighting could be better & the picture could be more close-up. My website designer told me that outdoor light (actual sun) is best, and not to use flash - that has really helped my pictures improve. I really like your cornelli though, and it looks like your initials are sitting in carnations? I can't see it too well, but I love it!

Here is a close up picture.

I used ivory and moss green for this cake. I was trying to create a pearl ivory but I don't know how to do that. Do they have more of a pearl looking food coloring. But thanks for the compliment

oh that's better, I hadn't see the green detail next to your initials... maybe a slight touch of ivory food coloring? I don't know if they make a "pearl". You did a great job on the cake though!

That's a beautiful cake...in fact it gave me an idea for my birthday cake. One hint, as you are doing your cornelli lace lift the tip and let the frosting just drop. If you don't then you will get flat lines instead of rounded...does that make sense. Again your cake is beautiful.

Toristreats -

Thanks for the compliment. Please post your cake when you are done. That was my first time doing cornelli so thank's for the helpful tip, I will do that for next time! icon_smile.gif

I have a hard time with cornelli lace too, its hard to kep your hand held above the cake and not flatten your lines!

Your cake is cute, keep up the good work!
