Hello fellow cakebakers

Does anyone know what size box I would need for a standard size cupcake? I have a wedding cupcake tree due and the bride wants individual boxes for the cupcakes. I'm not sure what size box to get.

Also, do you know of any online stores where we can get the boxes engraved?

Do you want them engraved with bride/groom's name/date? Or with your business info?

Wilton carries the boxes for individual cupcakes. You can get those at Walmart. But if you want some that are ingraved there are companies that do that. Just google personalized cupcake boxes and Im sure you will get a ton of different places popup.

You could also print it on a clear label and put it on yourself if your doing just your business name. If your doing a wedding date or something I would go for the engraving.

The reason I asked what you were going to print is because if a bride wanted special boxes with her info on it, then I would make it her responsibility to get them, just like I make it her responsibility to get the real or silk flowers for the cake. It's a special item she wants .... she is responsible for obtaining it. Just like she has to order her special printed napkins, her special printed ribbons for the table favors, etc.

Unless you're in the printing business ...... .?

I would check out www.brpboxshop.com they have boxes and inserts for single cupcakes. They are plain but you could always personalize with labels.

These single boxes with cupcake inserts from www.brpboxshop.com are great: http://brpboxshop.com/bakery_boxes/1497.html

The opening on the insert measures 2.5" on the narrow end. I use 4oz fruit and nut cups for cupcakes and they fit perfectly in these.

Thanks for everyone's assistance. The bride actually wants a personalized message on the boxes. Yes, she is paying for the personalization. So I just need to figure out what size box to get for the cupcakes. I guess I can check the dimensions of the new wilton cupcake boxes. Do they make those cupcake boxes for single cupcakes?
